What is a good starting point with classical music?
AF asked the question:
I’ve always enjoyed listening to classical music, but I’d like to actually get a grasp of the music so I can understand what I’m listening to. Any tips?

I’d advise seeing if you could take a course in it from a local college
This is a list of 100 well known songs, many of which are credited to the wrong composer. I discovered many great artists from this list.
What I’d reccomend doing is going to your local library and getting a book on classical music. There are several good books out there that will help you. Then, read about the composer and his most famous work, and look it up on YouTube.
Beethoven:
I would suggest the symphonies (5, 6, 7, 9), concerti (especially the triple concerto) and some piano sonatas (i like 7 and 8, hate moonlight)
Learn to play it! you’ll appreciate it more!
also take a course of music appreciation at your local jr. college!
