Can I have some classical music suggestions?
mylo asked the question:
I continue to hear about research done proving that listening to classical music while studying can actually make you focus better, and that it is the only music to not hinder your learning abilities while studying.
I’d like to give this a shot!
Can someone point me in the right direction?
I would like some good classical music to start off with. Maybe something nice and pleasant? Nothing too dramatic, startling, or distracting, but anything that is classical music will be fine!
So please, start me off in the right direction with classical music!

What is a good classical music piece that expresses beauty in simple things, and is optimistic”?
relientk4life06 asked the question:
I am making a slide show of nature photographs set to classical music for a class. I am looking for a classical music piece that expresses the beauty in simple thing, is optimistic (maybe in a major key), and possibly changes to a minor key at the end (the changing of seasons). I will have to write a paper on why I chose the piece and was hoping I could find something that went along with the changes of seasons, and could relate to the simple beauty of the scenery in my photographs. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

How can I narrow down the styles and/or eras of classical music that suit me best?
DVS asked the question:
I would like to explore classical music, but I am not sure where to begin. I enjoy a few composers, but I would like to find a way to narrow down the styles and/or eras that suit me best, so that I can discover compositions that I truly love.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
A website with audio clips and a breakdown of the different eras could help, for example.

Is there a lack of respect for classical music in our generation?
I <3 Edvard Grieg asked the question:
It seems to me that people these days don’t have any respect for classical music. At least my generation. In my school, everyone listens to rap, pop, country, etc. Which is okay, except they regard classical music as gay? Anyone here agree, and what can we do to influence others to enjoy more classical music?
